This Privacy Policy explains how PinPoi ("we," "our," or "the App") handles the collection, use, and disclosure of user information. Your privacy is a priority, and we are committed to protecting any data processed during your use of the App in compliance with Google Play Store policies and international privacy standards.

1. Data Collection and Usage

PinPoi is designed to operate with minimal data requirements to ensure user privacy.

• Personal Information: The App does not collect, store, or share any personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, or phone number) on its own servers.
• Location Data: If you grant permission to use localization services, this data is used strictly in real-time to populate input fields and enhance your search for points of interest. This data is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to us or stored permanently. Please note that third-party services (such as Google AdMob) may also collect coarse location data if permissions are granted, as detailed in Section 2.

2. Third-Party Services

To provide specific features and support the App, we use third-party services that may process data according to their own privacy policies:

Advertising and Analytics (Google AdMob & Analytics)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements and may use Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze how the app is used. We adhere to the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF).

• Consent Integration: When you interact with our consent banner, choosing to allow "Storage and/or access of information on a device" (TCF Purpose 1) also serves as your explicit consent to allow the storage of analytics data.
• Data Processed: These services may collect and use data such as your device's Advertising ID, cookies, and usage data to personalize ads, measure performance, and provide usage statistics.
• Location Data (GMA SDK): When location permissions have been granted by the user to the App, the Google Mobile Ads (GMA) SDK will retrieve the device’s coarse location from APIs. The GMA SDK will only collect a device’s coarse location, even if precise location permissions have been obtained. As always, the GMA SDK will continue to respect applicable user privacy and consent signals.

Geocoding (Android Geocoder)

When you search for an address, the App utilizes the Android Geocoder service installed on your smartphone. Data processing for this service is governed by Google’s Terms of Service.

Maps (OpenStreetMap)

Map visualization is provided by OpenStreetMap. These services may process technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver map tiles directly to your device.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Since PinPoi does not collect or store personal data on its own servers, there is no personal data stored by the developer to be deleted. Any data processed by third-party services is managed according to their respective retention policies. Users can reset their Advertising ID or revoke consent at any time through the App's settings or device OS settings.

4. Security

We prioritize the security of your information. While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, the App is built to minimize data exposure by relying on local processing and established third-party providers.

5. User Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under the GDPR in Europe or CCPA in California), you have certain rights regarding your personal data. Because PinPoi processes data locally and does not store your personal information on our servers, you already have full control over your data directly through your device. You can exercise your privacy rights by:

• Revoking location permissions via your device settings.
• Resetting your Advertising ID or opting out of personalized ads through your device OS settings.
• Adjusting your consent preferences directly within the App's consent banner.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App does not address anyone under the age of 13 (or 16, depending on your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information to third-party services via our App, please utilize the device settings to restrict permissions or contact us for further guidance.
